JCB, Converse (artist and curator)

Curated by JCB

I’ve been creating art anonymously for a few decades as I usually prefer to stay behind the scenes. I describe my creative process as my addiction and my therapy. I pride myself on being very indecisive, which has led me to create collections rather than individual works.

Having a diverse background, father a musician from Jamaica, and mother an artist born in England, has allowed me to be immersed in a multicultural upbringing that is reflected in my art. Educated in Oxfordshire then living in India and America has also influenced my work which, like life and people, contain hidden elements that aren’t always immediately apparent.

I’ve worked on various design projects mostly in the music industry and am fortunate enough to have worldwide collectors.
