We have invited artists to explore the theme of ‘Home’, what it means to different members of our community, how different people live, and how this affects us fundamentally in our daily lives. Through observing the home environment, we as people can learn more about each other at a fundamental level.
The exhibition consists of work in a range of media including painting, photography and sculpture. We’ve aimed to curate the space in such a way that evokes a “homely” feeling that allows art to become accessible to all.
We hope our exhibition creates an emotive, thoughtful and vulnerable space that encourages the public to reflect upon their own way of living, how this relates to their background, their daily lives, and who we are as people. We hope visitors take away new perspectives on how others live, to encourage empathy and thoughtfulness within communities, bringing people together through new-found understanding.
Exhibiting Artists:

Curated by Roxanne Di Giovanni and Sangkavy Ketharalingam
Hello, we are Roxanne Di Giovanni and Sangkavy Ketharalingam, art students from Gloucestershire. Both of us are fuelled by visiting exhibitions and seeing art in the flesh. We love how an exhibition space can impact its visitors and promote new ideas through exploring and presenting concepts from new angles. As curators, we hope to create such experiences for the public, and encourage making art accessible.
As young creatives who are at the beginning of our careers in the art world , we have many passionate ideas about how to present thought provoking art and ideas to the public, to have meaningful, positive impact. The Fringe Arts Bath festival is our first major opportunity to put our ideas to practice.
