Invisible Foundations takes inspiration from a small excerpt from Phyllida Barlow’s Another View: The Studio, the Working Process, and the Non-Exhibition:

“In view of the stark fact that most art produced will not be seen by anyone other than the artist, this raises the challenging question of what this unseen art is.
I believe it forms an invisible foundation, the non-exhibition, which stands in silent witness to the noise of the proliferation of exhibitions which make up the current art scene (...)”
A group show of works by FORM-ICA studio holders and Bath Art Depot (BAD) members, whose responses include drawing, text, research, some soon-to-be things, thoughts, process, maybe even some failed attempts…
