Celebrate Melissa Wraxall’s solo exhibition Vivid, at the private view.
These intensely coloured expressionist abstractions exist as new and unique objects, untethered to objective reality. However, every mark is a trace of a movement in time, and there is often a playful sense of hide and seek, with forms floating, zipping and dancing around each other through an unlimited space. With an experimental approach, using unconventional tools alongside brushes and palette knives, my paintings invite the viewer to immerse themselves in colour, and as with music, to experience a sense of emotion and imaginative freedom.
Vivid exhibition continues: 16 May to 24 June, open 11am - 6pm daily
