Join The Knitting & Crochet Guild for the first South West Regional Day here in Bath! Indulge in a day of knitting and crochet talks and workshops, art and research.
The Bath branch are holding a Regional Day on World Wide Knit in Public Day!
The programme currently includes:
a shawl edging talk by designer Emma Vining
a participatory group project with textile artist Lou Baker
an introduction to double knitting (where you’ll make a phone or tablet cover) with Clare Griffel
a granny square workshop with Armelle Lovegrove
a knitting surgery hosted by designer Mary Henderson
a talk from PhD researcher Alice-Marie Archer on the use of knitted structures in hydroponics
drop in learn to knit or crochet sessions for beginners
a craft swap and sell, where you can leave materials, tools and books you know you’ll never use but don’t have the heart to throw away (offered either free to a good home or for a set price). Any items left at the end of the day must be taken away by the original owner.
There will also be a small exhibition of members' work and a raffle (prizes include signed copies of books by Emma Vining and Betsan Corkhill, kindly donated by Emma and Betsan).

The event is being held at the Salvation Army Citadel in Bath and is a short walk from the bus and train stations.
