What will you be doing?
We are looking for an intern to join us until spring 2025, starting asap. Your main duties will be creating, editing and sharing content online, related to Fringe Arts Bath Festival 2025: our call-out to Artists and the build-up to the festival.

Working with text, images, layouts, visuals and branding…
Creating, editing and publishing individual web pages for exhibition call-outs
Updating exhibition web pages after the call-out deadline
Updating our volunteering, faq and about pages
Occasional blog posts
Listing platforms & social media :
Posting the exhibitions call-out on art opportunity sites
Regular posts promoting each exhibition call-out
Sharing the festival call-out and the festival itself on relevant pages/groups
A count-down to the submission deadline (March 2025)
Sharing the festival and its many events on listing platforms
Scheduling posts to promote the festival itself
Press:
Writing copy for press releases
Connecting with local and national press
What you can expect
You will be creating and publishing content to promote Fringe Arts Bath Festival, Bath's only annual festival of visual arts. You'll have the chance to join the team at Fringe Arts Bath (known as FaB), a non-profit, Artist-led organisation, to learn the ropes and gain critical career experience within a creative and collaborative environment. You will work together with FaB’s existing Lead Producer and occasionally other team members.
During your time with us, you will gain real-world experience working on the business side of the arts sector. With real responsibilities, you’ll be able to place much of what you have learned through your studies into context, through practical application of all that theory. You’ll get a confidence boost from realising you know lots. This is an opportunity to start building your network and we’re committed to your personal and skills development.

Your skills and experience
Desirable:
An interest in arts & culture
Enthusiasm for making a difference in the community
The ability to think outside the box
Experience of using Meta, Canva and Squarespace.
A way with words
Essential:
An understanding of marketing and social media
Flexibility, initiative, willingness to contribute ideas
Proficient use of the English language
Experience of using social media
Ideally, you will bring your own laptop, though arrangements can be made if you don't have one.
We really need someone reliable, who has the time to work with us. If your timetable is super busy and you're not sure you can fit in the extra work, let us know at interview stage, we can talk and work out whether this is the right role for you.
Length of Internship
120 hours, ideally 10 hours per week.
Approx 5h face-to face on Mondays or Fridays between 9am & 2.30pm, then 5h self-led remote working.
12 weeks spread between late November 2024 to late Feb 2025
Exact hours & dates will be agreed upon with potential candidates to fit existing commitments and needs.

About the Fringe Arts Bath
Fringe Arts Bath (FaB) aims to raise the profile of contemporary visual arts in Bath and beyond, providing early-career and emerging Curators and Artists with a platform for development as well as opportunities to test their ideas beyond the gallery-based arts scene.
FaB facilitates collaborative projects between Curators, Artists, and commissioning bodies throughout the year, runs Fringe Arts Bath Festival every summer, and the annual Bath Open Art Prize in autumn
