Food Waste - Chris King
The systemic change and the cultural shifts that we need when it comes to things like food waste and climate change is not going to happen unless more of us stand up and take meaningful action. As a documentary storyteller, I can explore, present and share images that represent evidence of change or change that needs to happen.
So, that’s why I picked up a camera, and that’s why I decided a few years ago to explore the issue of food waste.
Souvenir: Photographs of Bath 1986 - 1990 © Steven Chandler
With the daily crowds of visitors photographing the city’s beauty, even outside my own front door! I set out to find the grit and reality of life for working class people of the city. This became my personal project for next few years, which I saw this as an antidote to the genteel tourist image of Bath.
Using pictures, where words fail – Carlo Chinca
Every time we look at a photograph, we bring with us our own mix of beliefs, ideas, values and histories. All of which help to shape our responses. When a title or caption is tagged onto an image it closes off any reading, other than that intended by the photographer. If photography is intended, as a means of visual poetry, a piece of work that has no correct answer, only possible meanings and interpretations.
NHS 70th Birthday - Simon Taylor
Almost three years on, the NHS has never been so valued by so many.
Thank you, NHS.
