Mouzouris’ research is concerned with the configuration and fetishisation of material and image connected to the industries of wellness and leisure. Informed by ubiquitous advertising strategies, he makes little distinction between on or offline experiences, employing hi and lo fi techniques within his practice. His most recent work deals with the subversion of such strategies, re-presented via quasi-spiritual promises of consumption, of which ultimately question the arenas of post-truth and contingency. Mouzouris’ work often assumes the mediums of sculpture, video, writing and more recently has also begun to incorporate drawing.
