Images of Research: Research Matters
Last night we went to the University of Bath to see the entries for their Images of Research competition, a selection of which returns to FaB1 this year, for the whole 17 days of the festival this time.
Arran was invited to join the judging panel who together selected three winners for Best Image, Best Narrative and Best Overall Entry (and three Highly Commended entries, because the decision was really tough).
“Images of Research is a public exhibition held in Bath, where researchers explain their work using just an image and short description, giving an insight to our wide range of research activity that makes a difference to society and produces real benefits.”
The overall winner is Avid Fan by Dr Jonathan Cox, Dr Alex Ball and Maxwell Barclay, a picture of the right antenna of a male May beetle. You’ll have to come along to find who won the other categories and whose work was highly commended!
